My Plans for Holidays

In winter break I am going to stay home because I asked my parents and they said that we were not going to go anywhere. Therefore I am going to do something fun at home. First I am going to play with my friends a lot, next I am going to do computer and watch T.V, I am going to watch a movie in a cinema and others things that are really fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think that is all!!

I want to go to go back to Korea to see snow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why do civilization have laws?

I think civilization have laws to make the everyhing in control and to make people do the right things. However if the people don't follow them, there will be a problem so there are laws that we have to follow. I learned some laws and punishments which were made by Hammurabi and one of it was 'If a son strikes his father, his arm shall be cut off.' This one was given by Mr.McQueen and he told us to write on a postit if we agree or disagree. I chose both of them because first you can't hit your own father and that is like changing places so the son would be the father and the father wouldbe the son. You can't change that so this is expaination of why I agreed. I disagree also because if the father cut off his son, the son can't help his father when he is sick and needs help. We also some questions that were at the back of the paper. One of the questions was Why do you feel your punishments are appropriate? and I said I think my punishments are appropriate because it has my thoughts in it and it is not too harsh, it is just right for me.

My name is Mi Jin and I am in 6th grade. I go to a school called ISKL and I really like ISKL because I can meet different country people and others that I can’t remember now. My favorite subjects in school are math, drama, and P.E but my most favorite one is drama. I also like swimming with my friends not in school because there are test I have to do. Now I am doing rock climbing in P.E but before that it was swimming. I think I had lots of tests so that time I hated very much it swimming but now I really miss it.

BLOGGING

I think blogging is where you write things that are nice and good not like writing bad things about friends or mean things because everyone can see the things you wrote so you have to write about something like about yourself and others. You share your blog with everyone that comes into your blog so there can be anyone who can read a paragraph or things about yourselg and others.

I think it is so sad that someone animals are hurt like for example a dog that has a cut tail. I think it is really nice helping the animals because I think they need help and there are lots of cats and dogs there so it might be hard to take care all of them.

Call It Courage

The book called Call It Courage was interesting and it was good. However I didn't like it at the first time but when I kept reading I enjoyed it. The book was about a boy Mafatu who was a coward wanted to show that he was brave. Therefore he went out to the sea with his canoe and was hit by a storm so he lost almost everything. He was lost but his bird Kivi led to an island and did everthing he could do to survive. When man of eaters came he went out to the sea with his canoe and went back home. I like Mafatu's pets his dog, Uri and his bird, Kivi. I like his pets because they helped Mafatu like Kivi led Mafatu to an island and Uri helped something in the island. I think the writer wrote this story very well because I think it showed that you can be brave and other things.
